Gas chromatograph Agilent-6890 / HP-6890, Agilent 6850 and UniChromProducer:
Agilent Technologies
Inc., Hewlett-Packard Inc. Our DataSystem UniChrom can fully control this instrument. The current driver supports instrument connection via RS-232 interface and via Ethernet TCP/IP network. Main highlights
Limitations
UniChrom specificThe UniChrom configuration guide: Agilent 6890 and UniChrom (ENG) 6890 driver will automatically detect GC and connect with it as user selected corresponding GC device in UniChrom. RS-232 connection is detected automatically when no ComName parameter is specified for instrument. To force RS-232 connection at specific port, simply add parameter ComName for installed instrument, and set ComName to desired com port (e.g. COM7). TCP/IP connection requires that parameter ComName would be in form tcp:a.b.c.d[:ppp], where a.b.c.d is decimal representation of IP address assigned to chromatograph or the DNS hostname (e.g. tcp:192.168.0.251) and ppp is tcp port number which GC listens (typically 9100, and can be omitted). Detection of ALS system is taken automatically when UniChrom connecting to instrument. The number of allowed vials for sequence is also detected automatically. When instrument was shipped without sample tray for 100 samples, vial number are allowed only 1 to 8 corresponding to numbered places at turret. All of the ALS parameters like number of washes and viscosity delay are supported. Driver is supported on platforms
